What's appealing to me (particularly in the JLI stories) is that he's a tough guy (manhandling Guy, punching out Captain Marvel, etc.) but is thoughtful, warm, and has insecurities that he doesn't wear on his sleeve. <br />I mean, I love all kinds of tough guys; Gardner's barely contained savagery, Byrne through Jurgen's "all-man" Superman, Bronson, Eastwood, Arnold, Willis, Statham...but J'onn is an example that tough guys don't have to be the coolest (or meanest) kid on the block.mathematicscorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15439579069513071094noreply@blogger.com
